Experience
I am in the process of becoming a NJ certified teacher. I will be certified in K-12 Biology and K-6 Generalist. I want to be a tutor because I want to give students the additional support they need to succeed in school. Students should be feel discouraged simply because of a test; student need to feel confident in their learning content, and I can provide the support for that confidence. During my undergraduate studies, I took cell biology, anatomy and physiology I and II, animal ethology, evolutionary biology, immunology, along with other upper level electives. During my masters degree studies, I have taken methods courses in all subject areas. I am very in tune to the demands of the Common Core curriculum and have experience implementing their methods into classroom instruction. I also have a lot of experience with students with special needs. My student teaching experience is in an inclusion classroom, which has given me to opportunity to expand on my differentiation skills. Also, during the summers, I work at an ESY program for students out of district.
